Top 10 Common Chores to add to your kid’s Kit App (and some uncommon ones too)

Ahh, chores. A word that often evokes groans from kids. While chores might be a bore for some little grownups, research shows that engaging children in age-appropriate chores is a crucial part of their development.

A recent study by LaTrobe University found that regular chores were associated with better executive functions – planning, self-regulation, switching between tasks and remembering instructions.

“Children who cook a family meal or weed the garden on a regular basis may be more likely to excel in other aspects of life – like schoolwork or problem solving.”

Setting up a chore system where kids can earn pocket money also helps them build financial capability and independence – and you get a second set of hands to help around the house. It’s a win-win-win situation!

The Kit Team sees Jobs of all sorts being completed in the app every day! We’ve rounded up the top 10 most common chores we see Kit kids completing. Then, we also picked some of our favourite ‘uncommon’ chores our users have added to their Jobs list too. Keep up the good work!
